About Demitas. Software, data and AI for businesses

Demitas is a young software engineering company based in Ortisei. We build software and digital products for companies that want to use technology, data and AI to improve the way they work.

AI in real applications

Our focus is integrating AI into real applications and business processes. We help companies bring AI into their products, their internal processes and their customer-facing applications.

We combine modern technology with solid software engineering. What we are after are solutions that are not merely technically interesting, but reliable, maintainable and valuable to our clients over the long term.

From cloud to firmware

Depending on the project we work on backend and frontend systems, APIs, data solutions, cloud infrastructure and web applications, and, where the project calls for it, on firmware and embedded systems.

The position. Where modern AI meets solid engineering

You work on our own products and on client projects, and you follow a solution from the first idea through technical design and implementation into production. You work closely with the founders and, depending on the project, directly with our clients.

You are not locked into one technical discipline. When a project calls for new technology or a different approach, you learn it and work out a fitting solution with the team.

Depending on your interests, your experience and the project at hand, that can include:

AI systems

  • Integrating LLMs and other AI services into existing applications
  • Building AI-based features and workflows
  • Building retrieval-based and knowledge-based AI systems
  • Connecting AI systems to business applications and existing software

Software & data

  • Developing APIs and backend services
  • Building and extending databases, data pipelines and cloud infrastructure
  • Designing reliable, maintainable and secure software architectures
  • Working with Docker, CI/CD and modern development tooling

Products & clients

  • Building web applications and internal tools
  • Working directly with clients to turn technical requirements into working solutions
  • Evaluating new technologies and judging where they are worth using
  • Optionally, contributing to firmware and embedded systems

Your profile. How you think matters more than your CV

Ideally you bring

  • A completed degree in a technical or scientific field
  • Solid foundations in software or data engineering
  • Good programming skills, ideally in Python or a comparable modern language
  • An understanding of APIs, databases and the basic concepts of software architecture
  • Practical experience with AI technology, in particular LLMs, APIs or AI frameworks
  • An interest in understanding new technologies quickly and putting them to sensible use
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic approach to engineering
  • The ability to work independently and take responsibility for your results
  • Good communication skills

Experience with some of these is an advantage

  • RAG and vector databases
  • FastAPI or comparable backend frameworks
  • PostgreSQL
  • Docker
  • Cloud platforms
  • CI/CD and DevOps
  • Data engineering and data pipelines
  • React or comparable modern frontend technologies
  • Embedded systems or firmware

You do not need all of it. What counts is that you bring good technical foundations, approach problems in a structured way, and enjoy working your way into new subjects.
